Battleship of receivers that in this case proves that sometimes bigger is better (24” wide, 17” deep, 8” high, weights 55Lb)! Prior to my trip to a local estate sale I had never heard of Wintec. It was listed by the estate sales team as a NOS television amplifier in it’s original box. It does in fact handle VHF and UHF signals but is a true High Fi stereo amplifier. Each channel has a separate power supply with the biggest heat sinks I have ever seen 120 WPC. The unit was pristine outside and inside (no dust inside) if it was ever used it wasn’t for an extended period. Two phono inputs, one auxiliary, two tape inputs, and those VHF/UHF inputs. I tested it with a variety of vintage speakers (Boston Acoustic A150’s, Klipsch 5.2’s, B&W DM604’s, JBL 4410 monitors. It sounds fabulously with every speaker and input source I tried. My new favorite old toy.
